El Alto is a luxury nanolot coffee, produced in extremely small quantities at high elevation and under the meticulous, expert eye of longtime Onda partner Enrique Navarro.

Named after his parents' convenience store (which made possible the lifelong dream of a family coffee farm), this coffee showcases extraordinary clarity, sweetness, and structure -- it would no doubt have made Enrique Sr. very proud. 

Harvested from a single, tightly controlled plot, El Alto delivers an elegant and complex cup designed for drinkers who seek out the rarest coffees in the world.

This is the peak of what careful farming, selective harvesting, and meticulous processing can achieve in specialty coffee. 

Flavor Profile

Expect a layered, refined cup with pronounced sweetness and balance.
Notes of ripe stone fruit, honeyed florals, and delicate citrus unfold with a silky body and a clean, lingering finish. This is a coffee meant to be tasted slowly—and brewed intentionally.

Meet Enrique Navarro

Enrique Navarro Jr., a longtime friend of Onda and the farmer behind our Costa Rican single-origins, is a success story of specialty coffee. He fell in love with coffee early on through his parents' farm in Costa Rica, and through his tireless work, he helped his family improve their crop's quality and earn recognition on a global stage for producing the best coffee in Costa Rica.
