More About our Cafe & Business Model

Kicking off in 2016 as a roasting and wholesale business, we opened our flagship cafe and roastery in 2019 in South Seattle, just south of Columbia City (have you heard of Hillman City?).

The physical space was intentionally built to serve as a community hub, highlight the stories of coffee growers, and bring people together in a diverse, culturally rich neighborhood.

The grand opening included a community mural project involving local artists and students, reinforcing the cafe’s neighborhood-first identity.

Our approach to specialty coffee is based on a “farmer-first” model, which goes beyond traditional fair trade to pay growers more than standard market rates, share ongoing revenue from coffee sales (not just one-time payments), and emphasize transparency.
