Specialty, single origin coffee bought directly from the farmer in El Salvador and roasted in Seattle, WA.

Carlos Pola

Carlos Pola's family has been involved in coffee for five generations. Carlos supports his community by organizing a yearly auction to promote specialty coffees from Salvadoran farmers.

By planting nitrogen fixation shade trees and utilizing mycorrhiza, Carlos's coffee trees are able to symbiotically grow and produce ruby red cherries at optimal efficiency.

The art on Carlos's coffee bags represents the seasonal mass migration of birds of prey, Known as 'Los Azacuanes' in colloquial Spanish. This migration traditionally signals the end of the rainy season and the start of coffee harvest in El Salvador.
