Our Big Three
This trio of coffees comes from three of Onda’s longest-standing grower partners: Enrique in Costa Rica, Ivonne in Guatemala, and Kiko in Brazil. Each brings deep care to their craft and is shaping what specialty coffee can look like when farmers are supported to lead.
Enrique Navarro — Costa Rica
Monte Copey
Enrique Navarro Jr. and his family have turned a legacy of coffee picking into a thriving, award-winning specialty coffee farm in Santa María, Costa Rica. With roots that run deep—his parents met in the coffee fields—Enrique brings a scientific eye and deep heart to every step of the process. From hand-picking cherries at peak ripeness to building their own micromill, the Navarros have transformed Monte Copey into a place where coffee is not just grown, but crafted.
Ivonne Herrera — Guatemala
Finca La Mirador del Volcán
Ivonne Herrera didn’t set out to be a coffee farmer. A trained clinical nutritionist and mom, she was drawn to the peacefulness of the land—and to following in the footsteps of her father, who has farmed coffee in Guatemala for over 20 years. Nine years ago, she planted the first seeds of her own vision: a farm that could support her family and community.
But in an industry where growers are often kept in the dark, Ivonne struggled to even break even. Partnering with Onda changed that. Now earning nearly double per pound, she’s not just sustaining her farm—she’s building futures. With her support, her workers opened bank accounts for the first time. She calls it “a beautiful connection” that’s making coffee a career worth holding onto.
Kiko Ribeiro — Brazil
Sitio Palmital
Kiko Ribeiro inherited his family’s farm in Mantiqueira de Minas at a young age, stepping away from a promising soccer career to carry on a legacy rooted in centuries of Brazilian farming history. Today, he’s not just keeping that legacy alive—he’s reimagining it. As a member of the Cocarive Cooperative, Kiko produces high-quality microlots while protecting over half of his land as untouched forest.
